EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

            These include:  music, boys and girls basketball, girls volleyball, golf, soccer, track and cross-country, cheerleading, student council and National Honor Society, drama, oral interp.

            Physical exams are required of all participants in athletics.  Students must have the physical exam with the doctor's fee paid by the student.  Each physical is good for three years.

            No student will participate in an extra curricular event or practice if he/she did not attend school classes on the day of the event or practice, unless granted special permission to do so, in advance, by the principal.

FINE ARTS ELIGIBILITY

If one receives an F or less than a 1.60 GPA at a nine weeks period, you will be put on probation for 4 weeks.  If you have an F at mid nine weeks these restrictions also apply.  This probation means you can practice but not participate in any contest during your probation.  If after the probation period, you have not improved your F to a passing grade- and your grades to a 1.60 GPA you will no longer be able to participate in those activities or practice until your grade is to the above standard and no sooner than the end of the grading period (minimum ineligibility of 4 weeks).  Exceptions will be considered on an individual basis.  A 9-weeks grade is used for eligibility purposes.

ATHLETIC ELIGIBILITY

We will have weekly eligibility for athletics using the above standards with the following changes:  1st week--no games the following week and 2nd week in a row no practice or games.  Ineligibility is from Monday to Saturday.

CHAPEL

Chapel will be on Friday.  All teachers and students are required to attend.  Seating will be by class with 7th in the front followed by the 8th, etc.  You are expected to be on your best behavior and display good posture during chapel.  Please be reverent and tune your heart to the Lord during this time.  For most chapels all 7-12 grade students will meet together.
