GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

Students in all South Dakota schools need 22 credits and we add four credits of Bible to equal 26.

CHANGING CLASSES

Students will be given two weeks after a semester starts to change classes. In order to change classes you must contact the principal and pick up a class change form. This will include getting signatures from the teachers and parents before it is approved.

All students are encouraged to carry a full course of subjects that the school has to offer. An average of 6 ½ courses a year is necessary to receive the 26 units needed for graduation. Students may not have more than the equivalent of two study halls per year.

GRADING

JVC High School publishes a High Honor Roll and an Honor Roll. The high honor roll has a grade point of 3.67-4.00. The honor roll has a grade point of 3.00-3.66. A "D" on a report card will nullify eligibility for High Honor Roll or Honor Roll, regardless of the grade point average.

The following letter grades are number equivalents:

A 4.00 B 3.00 C 2.00 D 1.00

A- 3.67 B- 2.67 C- 1.67 D- .67

B+ 3.33 C+ 2.33 D+ 1.33 F .00

The grading scale for grades 7-12 will be as follows:

100 A+ 99-95 A 94-93 A-

92-91 B+ 90-87 B 86-85 B-

84-82 C+ 81-78 C 77-75 C-

74-73 D+ 72-69 D 68-67 D-

66-0 F
