CHECKING IN

If a student comes to school during the school day, he/she must:

            1.  Check in with the secretary and write his/her name on the sign-in sheet.

            2.  If it is during a class period, he/she must check in with the principal or secretary for a tardy slip.

            3.  Before the next morning class the student must get a make-up slip for the classes missed.

CHECKING OUT

No one can leave the school without permission.  If granted permission you must sign out on the sign out sheet in the office.  Be sure to inform your teacher/coach if you will miss their class or activity.  Permission must be received before leaving the building during activities as well.  If you come, we expect you to stay at the activity.  You will be given a note to give to the teacher from whose class you will be leaving (for missing only part of one class - i.e. chiropractor, ortho., etc.).

CAFETERIA

The cafeteria is operated to provide lunch under the Federal School Lunch Program for all students.  The cost of this lunch in included in your school bill.  Application for free or reduced lunches may be made in the office.  If you qualify your school bill will be reduced.  Ask the principal for additional information.

After lunch students may relax, visit with friends, or study in the school building.  All students are required to help with lunchroom duties as assigned.

Pop, candy, or food will not be allowed in the classroom -- 8:30-3:30.  Water is the only drink allowed before or during school hours.   

SEMESTER TESTS

            Because we see a real correlation between attendance and learning the material, we are going to use the following schedule of testing based on all absences, excused or unexcused per semester.  This is for 9-12 grades only.  Consecutive days with the same illness will be counted as one absence for testing purposes.  Appointments during study hall will not count against semester testing.

            0 or 1 absence     - Must take three test -- 2 assigned, 1 choice

            1.5 or 2 absences - 4 tests -- 3 assigned, 1 choice

            2.5 or 3 absences - 5 tests -- 4 assigned, 1 choice

            3.5 or more absences - all tests
