BIBLE MEMORIZATION

1.  Students as a class will memorize scripture passages and individual verses within the Bible class time.

2.  In addition to these verses or passages the following required passages must be recited.  Please help your child meet this requirement.  We will require that one passage be recited each semester.  The recitation may be given at any time during that semester.

REQUIRED PASSAGES

                        Kindergarten:  Psalm 23

                        First Grade:     Psalm 100

                                                Books of the New Testament

                        Second Grade: The Lord's Prayer (Matt. 6:9-13)

                                                Books of the Old and New Testament

                        Third Grade:    John 14:1-6

                                                Ten Commandments

                        Fourth Grade:  Beatitudes (Matt. 5:3-12)

                                                Psalm 1

                        Fifth Grade:     I Corinthians 13

                                                Ephesians 6:10-18

                        Sixth Grade:   Isaiah 53:1-12 or Psalms 24 & 121

                                               John 1:1-18
